A non-profit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting both economic prosperity and environmental protection.
Alliance to Save Energy
A coalition of prominent business, government, environmental and consumer leaders who promote the efficient and clean use of energy worldwide to benefit consumers, the environment, economy, and national security. Their site includes summaries of Alliance programs, links to Alliance Associates, press releases, and a publications list.
The Association of Energy Services Professionals
The Association of Energy Services Professionals is a network of nearly 2,000 utility executives, consultants, manufacturers, researchers, government regulators, and others concerned with promoting energy efficiency and other energy services. Their site includes a newsletter, on-line copies of the Energy Services Journal, and a list of industry events.
Building Standards and Guidelines Program
The Department of Energy's Building Standards & Guidelines Program is developing compliance tools and training materials, providing information, and offering technical assistance on building energy codes. Their site contains model energy codes, code compliance materials, training information, news and contacts.
California Energy Commission
The California Energy Commission (“CEC”) has an extensive web site featuring information concerning CEC projects and activities, publications, news databases, an energy education tool, and a directory of over 1,000 energy-related internet sites.
Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency
The Office of Energy Efficiency is encouraging efficient energy use throughout Canada. Their site includes program descriptions, publications lists, and some on-line publications.
Consortium for Energy Efficiency
Founded in 1991, The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is a non-profit, public benefit corporation that uses the power of mass markets to advance super energy-efficient technologies that benefit consumers and the environment. They do this by encouraging utilities and other partners across the country to pool their market influence by voluntarily adopting common programs and efficiency specifications.

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network of the US DOE
EREN is an enormous database and search engine on all aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The site provides access to a wealth of information about renewable energy and energy efficient technologies.
Energy Efficient Building Association
EEBA promotes energy-efficient and environmentally responsible buildings and communities. Their site includes an electronic bookstore, links to sponsors, conference information, and member news.

With ENERGYguide, you can learn how to lower your energy bills, through selecting a new supplier, replacing equipment in your home, or changing the way you use energy. You can also learn how your choices impact the environment. ENERGYguide offers, for sale, a growing list of high quality products to help reduce your energy costs along with the information you need to guide your decisions. Many of the products bear the ENERGY STAR® label from the Environmental Protection Agency. The site also has interactive features.
Energy Information Administration
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is an independent statistical and analytical agency within the U.S. Department of Energy. The EIA site includes downloadable reports on energy consumption in households, commercial buildings, and manufacturing facilities.
Federal Energy Management Program
The Federal Energy Management Program provides information, training, technical assistance, financial support, and demonstrations to help reduce energy waste in federal buildings. The FEMP site includes news and events, descriptions of technical and financial assistance options, showcase facilities, and procurement guidelines.
Home Energy
Home Energy Magazine is dedicated to housing quality, comfort, and energy efficiency. The Home Energy web site includes an index to all feature articles, some full articles, and energy links.
International Institute for Energy Conservation
The International Institute for Energy Conservation is a non-profit organization that strives to accelerate the global adoption of energy-efficiency policies, technologies, and practices. Their site includes newsletters, resources, and some on-line publications.
LBL's Energy-Efficiency Web Site
Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory's Center for Building Science has, among other things, an interactive tool for calculating residential energy use. Their site also contains on-line reports, success stories, newsletters, and a directory of internet energy efficiency resources.
Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance
A regional organization along the lines of the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, MEEA is based in Chicago.
National Association of State Energy Offices (NASEO)
NASEO, founded in 1986, is a nonprofit corporation whose membership includes energy officials from the state and territory energy offices and affiliates from the private and public sectors. NASEO is the state energy officials' Washington voice on national energy policies and issues - informing the administration, Congress, and regional and national organizations about the specific energy priorities and concerns of the states and territories.
National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the nation's leading center for renewable energy research, also conducts energy efficiency and energy policy research. Their site features program and project descriptions, partnership opportunities, publications, news and events.
Natural Resources Defense Council
NRDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the world's natural resources and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all. Their site includes many documents on energy efficiency under the air/energy program.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
A state organization that promotes energy efficiency, encourages economic development, expands use of renewable energy sources, and reduces the environmental effects of energy production through R&D, demonstration, financial and technical assistance projects. Their site includes project descriptions, notices of new projects and RFPs, events, and a publications list.
Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships
Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships Inc. (NEEP) is a non-profit regional organization founded in 1996 to increase and coordinate energy efficiency efforts in New England, New York and the mid-Atlantic region.
